Family Activity: Create a Bee Watering Station in your garden.

Family Activity: Create a Bee Watering Station in your garden.

It’s often said that if all the bee’s died out we wouldn’t be far behind them. Without them crops would be so much harder to grow and flowers wouldn’t flourish. So we need to do everything we can to look after them.

With record temperatures hitting the UK and Europe this week, we want to shared a quick fun water station for bees you can make as a family. Or even on on your own.

The best part this is free and will cost you nothing and will only take a few minutes.

So all you need is a few bottle tops from empty bottles and a either some screws or some glue and a few pebbles.

Then simply screw the bottles tops to some wood (I added mine to the veg planters), add the pebble to stop the bees from drawing and fill with water.

All we are doing now every-time we have an empty bottle is keep the lid, recycle the bottle and get another bee drinking station.

I plan on putting more of them around the garden and maybe some out front as well.
